5. Greg Jones Best Bet: Calgary Stampeders
If Greenwood resigns, Greg Jones will test free agency and I think there is a spot for him on a Stamps defence that keeps losing linebackers. He is a dynamic young talent who will only get better.
4. Cory Greenwood Best Bet: Resigned-Toronto
The rumour mill says Greenwood is close to a deal with the Argos and after the Jermaine Gabriel signing I’m inclined to believe them.
3. Winston Venable Best Bet: Resigned- Montreal
Montreal’s highest priority is to resign Winston Venable and I see them doing just that. Montreal will need to reinforce its defence to protect its middling offence while they search for the next Calvillo.
2. Taylor Reed Best Bet: Saskatchewan Roughriders
Taylor Reed is strong, fast and aggressive. That is to say he is exactly the type of player Chris Jones looks for. He would be a great complimentary piece to Jeff Knox Jr.
1. JC Sherritt Best Bet: Resigned- Edmonton
A lot of Eskimos defenders will follow Jones to Riderville but with Jeff Knox Jr. racking up all the tackles, I don’t see a spot for Sherritt in Saskatchewan. He is a defensive leader and Edmonton will lock him up.
